BURNABY, BC – Afshin Doust, CEO of Advanced Intelligent Systems (AIS) – a leading Canadian robotics company whose mission is to create affordable, practical and modular robots for every task – is celebrating his one-year anniversary as a member of the Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only organization for senior leaders to publish original content, connect and excel.

“We are so pleased to have Afshin Doust entering year two as a member of Forbes Technology Council,” said Scott Gerber, founder and CEO of Forbes Councils. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world, and Afshin Doust is an important part of that community.”

“Being an active contributor to the Forbes Technology Council has been very valuable in sharing knowledge and ideas on how to grow a young company with a sophisticated hardware and software technology solution that is poised to provide an affordable solution to innovate traditional industries, such as agriculture. Being able to have an executive forum to learn how other companies at this important stage are moving forward and to share knowledge has been invaluable,” says Doust.

AIS’s first robotics automation solution was in the horticulture industry, with the launch of BigTop: AIS’s flagship autonomous robot which increases efficiency and productivity by performing those repetitive and strenuous tasks dangerous to humans by automating the task of moving and spacing pots. AIS continues to create practical robots and artificial intelligence platforms for applications that will benefit from automation, in a number of industries.
