Rongo is an autonomous mobile robot base that is used in indoor greenhouses to perform operations on parallel rail systems autonomously; this includes navigation between rails and locational positioning. The platform allows for various modules (i.e. UV irradiation of crops to reduce/eliminate powdery mildew, image capturing and data collection…ext.) to be mounted on top of the unit and provides mechanical mounting and power/data transfer to the module.
