About the Role

We are looking for an Embedded Engineer who will be part of developing a new generation of autonomous mobile robots. You will be responsible for full-cycle design-to-implementing tasks related to microcontrollers, coding, and electronics. You will work very closely with a team of computer scientists, electrical and mechanical engineers, and product owners in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary start-up environment. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a team are essential. You will also be required to be hands-on when working on our autonomous systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to embedded development, prototyping, testing and deployment of autonomous vehicles.
  • Develop embedded software in C/C++ for a host of different robotic applications.
  • Design electrical components and circuit boards for embedded systems.
  • Contribute to design and testing reports.

 

Your Skills and Experience

  • Master’s in electrical engineering, embedded engineering or equivalent
  • Passionate about robotics and building robotics projects professionally and privately.
  • 5+ years in experience in electronics engineering
  • 5+ years experience in embedded C/C++ development
  • 5+ years in DC circuit design. (PCB design preferably Altium designer)
  • 5+ years experience in R&D work for rapid product development
  • Experience working with sensors, microcontrollers, motors, and other common robotics components
  • Experience with STM microcontrollers, Git, and OOP programming is a must
  • Experience with serial (RS232, RS485) and CAN is a bonus
  • Experience working with DC brushed/brushless/stepper motors and drivers/controllers is a bonus
  • Experience with ROS is a bonus
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Neat and thorough work practices with refined and complete product development
